7th Bilbao International Art And Fashion contest

BIAAF,  a leading European platform for emerging fashion designers  continues betting on young talent. Allies with young designers from 90 countries have managed to continue with the 7th edition of the Bilbao International Art and Fashion contest.

“The situation in Spain has been everchanging during the last weeks. We are confined and the whole team has had to adapt to this new situation of working and living on line. “

“Every step forward in the competition, every parcel we receive from participants is like a little battle we all win to the pandemia.”

Now more than ever, BIAAF is committed to keep supporting the designers of the future, generating new opportunities in order to offer them a better, brighter scenario than the one they are facing now. They are convinced that the near future will be truly different, hopefully more caring, sustainable and sympathetic to others around us, and are thrilled to keep working on it despite the circumstances.

On this edition  with more than 1.200 participants, 30 finalists are coming from 16 different countries, each on a different Coronavirus pandemia stage. They have decided to cope with this exceptional circumstances case by case. With each and everyone of them.

We don’t know with certainty when the current status will end. What we know for sure is that the moment it ends we have to be as ready as possible to react quickly.

This is reflected in the campaign they have carried out “WE ARE MORE THAN FASHION”. They ensure that behind each of these fashion designers there is a story that deserves to be told.

The objective of the campaign is to make visible, promote and highlight the different BIAAF projects in fields such as research, high-performance education or sustainability that arise through the opportunities generated by the contest.

“BIAAF is a dream that has come true. Each edition we find new talent that allows us to build a global map of the industry and learn about different realities to respond to through the design of fashion.”
