  • Petar, people would say you’re a very special person. How do you see yourself in that, is it true? Why?

Well, people are not mistaken when they say I’m special, I’ve been aware of it since I was young and since then I’ve been cherishing the things that make me special and who I am today. I’m not special because I decided it, but because I’ve always been consistent with my individuality and my inner being so today I can safely ‘walk through life’.

And all the special people on this planet are here for a special reason – so they can make positive changes in society and leave their mark for new special people, who will one day follow our conceited steps and do anything for a better tomorrow.

  • You present yourself as an artist in different spheres. What do you think of those who focus only on one thing and say you can only give one thing 100%?

I wouldn’t say I present myself as an artist, I am an artist with every fibre of my being and it cannot be hidden. Things come out of me with no limits or frame. Only we yellow artists know that philosophy of selfishness in all fields, dimensions and frequencies – so from me you can expect the unexpected.

I might not be 100% focused but I know that I live my life 100%, and that is a philosophy of living. Live life to the fullest and fly with spread wings towards the light.

  • What sets you free?

My unconscious and way of thinking sets me free. I have always known only for beautiful things and have seen only the good in people. A man is free only when he does not carry fears inside.

  • What is your opinion of nature and, in contrast, of modern society?

My opinion of nature and its importance can best be seen by the way I try to live in harmony with it; I live in a yellow camphouse in the forest. Modern society ignores nature as a source of pure energy and selfishly takes everything it can offer and more. I can get very tedious about that subject, so I’m going to be short. I believe that modern society will become more aware in time and move forward in a healthier way.

»And all the special people on this planet are here for a special reason- so they can make positive changes in society and leave thair mark for new special people who will one day follow our steps and do anything for a better tommorow.«

  • What is your creation process? What is on your mind then?

My creation process is long and rough, demanding and cheery, clean and orderly. When I produce, I’m mostly in my favourite dimension where the mind is asleep, the soul is ruling and the body is working. I like to work in specific ways and mostly with classical music in the background. Beethoven’s 9th symphony is often on my playlist.

  • What is your favourite material and which do you use the most? Why?

I sew, dance, act, write, paint … Mostly I paint and work on my life’s ambition of 23,000 canvas paintings. So materials I work with the most are paints and canvas. Out of all the colours, yellow is closest to my heart.

  • For you poetry is … ?

Poetry is something that is, unfortunately, getting lost in today’s society. It’s very important for me as a form of communication with my inner self, in it I find answers to life questions and while we are synchronized the world seems a different place. In night’s quiet time, pen and paper get the most power in my life.

  • Where is your land of your dreams? Do you think it’s important where one lives and does it affect the way of life? Or is it all in one’s head and everyone ”makes their destiny”?

The land of my dreams was always the one I was born and raised in- Bosnia and Herzegovina. There’s my home, there’s my everything … my first studio, wonderful creations, my roots and inexhaustible source of inspiration.

A man creates an ambience and surroundings that suit him best independent of where he lives, we ourselves are creators of our enjoyment here on Earth.

  • What animal would you be and why?

If I was an animal it would be a firefly. Small, green and lit. Also, for those that think they have no light- I could prove them wrong.

»A man is free only when he does not carry fears inside.«

»I believe that modern society will become more aware in time and move forward in a healthier way.«

  • Where do you find your inspiration? Which emotions mainly affect your work, creation and your art?

My inspiration and desire to create come from seeing unhappy lives and injustice around me, in bad things others do.

A view on the imbalance in society drives me to do good and make an example for others, to show them a prettier side of life, and a way paved with flowers. I find it hard to look at bad things and I’m trying to be most ambitious in changing people and their decisions for the better. And I’m immensely happy that I’m successful in it.

  • How would you describe your style, your work? What makes you special and unique?

I would describe my style as specific for this modern age, they say I’m unique for my story concerning the Lost Dowry concept and the final goal of my creating.

My patience in creating, and childlike freedom of expression, which I haven’t lost – unlike most of us –  make me special and my uniqueness is already in my goal of making 23,000 paintings.

  • What’s with the yellow colour?

Yellow in my creations stands for light and sun and carries a lot in its base but honestly: what yellow is, in this moment is a warning to the world for what’s yet to come from me as an artist and a composed and self-aware person.

  • … and what’s with the number 23/11?

Many ask why my exhibitions happen once a year exactly on 23/11; it’s hard to describe so others can understand as I do. 23/11 is because when everything goes to sleep in November, yellow colours come to the trees and give us warmth before the cold winter – but rare are those who can experience winter as they do summer. I’m one of those people. I live warmth and can see it in the coldest moments of the year. The Sun is always here, we only need to be aware of it all year round.
